I will allow you to purchase this album only on condition that you do not send it to Lord Longford. It would only hurt the chap and there are enough people in this world trying to do that to one another (I an see by the look on your beautiful face, Dear Reader, that you are an exception).
Anyway, once you've coughed up, enjoy this offering in the right place, at the right time. But, a friendly warning; apart from one or two sweet little tracks, the right place is not school, and Sunday is the wrong time.

My thanks to Jackie Jennett and Gavin Livingstone (The Skerries), to my accordionist, Jimmy Brown, and to Billy Davidson (who hasn't by the way had twins) whose fine guitar has carried me all over my dear beautiful country, Scotland, the West of which is still the best of which.

Heartfelt gratitude to my good friend, the Mechanical — Whizz-Kid Pete Kerr, without whom the charts of Britain and America would be as lonely as I was when I wrote one track on the record, (Janetta).
