Sleeve Notes
This EP of Hamish Imlach "the biggest thing in Scottish folk music" is the result of a live session at the Paisley Folk Song Club held at the Rockfield Hotel, Paisley, on February 24th 1967. The bulk of the results of that evening can be heard on the XTRA LP, XTRA 1050, also called "Hamish Imlach, Live". So just imagine yourself in one of Scotland's best folk song clubs with one of Britain's best folk performers ready to go. Here are three varied songs, one somewhat light hearted biblical blues, one very English song of moral caution and one harrowing and sensitive ballad, each handled with complete understanding and success.
