- Biographical
- Rory (1932-1982) and Alex McEwen (1935-2009) were the fourth and fifth (respectively) of seven children of Sir John Helias Finnie McEwen and Lady Bridget Mary McEwen.
- Both served as officers in the Cameron Highlanders before embarking on their careers in Folk Music.
- In 1956, Rory and Alex traveled to the USA, were they recorded 2 albums for Folkways and appeared on
The Ed Sullivan Show.
