Sleeve Notes

Have you ever sat in a pub somewhere and watched five bearded men downing the pints? If they happen to answer to the names of Barney, Ciaron, John, Luke and Ronnie, you can be sure that you've just met one of the world's best-known folk groups — the DUBLINERS.

Both before and after the gig, the DUBLINERS are to be found in the nearest local. Their music is pure folk, their voices as tough as the land they come from. With their traditional and contemporary songs, the DUBLINERS have won not only a folk audience but many of the uninitiated have come out of their concerts firm fans.

One can't write much about the DUBLINERS' music — the best thing is to go along and hear them. If you've just won a go at Bingo and lost your card, or had a quarrel with your old lady, or whatever, just forget everything with a dose of the DUBLINERS at their next IRISH FOLK CONCERT.
