During 2000, Dafydd Iwan sang at all his favourite venues for the last time with his Band. The concerts were recorded by his sound man Huw Evans, and the remixes can be heard on two volumes, (for volume one, see SAIN SCD 2239).
The venues range from the massive Cnapan Festival marquee to the more intimate Calsonic Club in Llanelli, and the singing ranges from the personal love songs ("Dos f'anwylyd") to the patriotic anthems of "Yma o hyd" and "Cerddwn Ymlaen", with several satirical pokes at the establishment along the way (yes, "Carlo" is here and the lament at the fall of the British Empire, "Cwyngan y Sais"). But what makes this live collection unique are the tracks unheard before on CD, such as "Ffarwel i Blwy Llangywer" and "Rwy'n gweld y dydd" ("I see the day when Wales will be free"), and the Hefin Elis melodies, accompanied by the composer himself ("Teg oedd yr awel", "Rhywun yn y carchar").
