Sleeve Notes
"When I first met the Johnstons some nine months prior to this writing, they were the most successful recording group in Ireland with a repertoire consisting ninety percent of traditional Irish material. They have, in the last six months sifted through some 200 contemporary songs, and the final selections represent the modern musical scene at its best."
Nathan Joseph
Notes
Both Sides Now is the North American version of Give A Damn. The LPs The Barley Corn and Give A Damn were released on the same day. Appartently this was to show the range of the Johnstons music — The Barley Corn featuring traditional songs, while Give A Damn containg contemporary folk.
In addition, Give A Damn and Both Sides Now each contains 2 different tracks.
1 "Wherefore and Why" and "My House" only appear on Both Sides Now
"Urge for Going" and "Julia" only appear on Give A Damn
